Paul William Walker IV was an American movie star born in 1973 in California. Being a really young actor at the time of his tragic death, he had a vast collection of great films he played in. He started acting being a 12-year-old boy and then grew up to sought-after heartthrob performer. There were many TV shows at the beginning of his career. But in the 90th he went away to a big screen films.
He played in different kinds of dramas, in horror films, in teen movies and of course in box-office action-oriented films. So, let’s remember how it was, how his way on the top of the worldwide fame looked like.
Paul Walker was found in this sitcom in the age of 12. He had a recurring role in this TV show, created by Fredi Towbin, but it was his debut performance.
Monster in Your Closet (1986)
This was Paul Walker’s real big-screen movie debut. It was a role of his real age boy named Professor Bennette, who had to deal with monster attacks. The film is a mix of comedy and horror genres.
These both 80th roles were not so memorable for Walker, but we have to notice them as the entrance to his movie career.
It is a comic fantasy drama directed by Gary Ross, where Paul’s character Skip Martin fell in love with Jennifer (Reese Witherspoon’s character) after her and her brother’s unbelievable arrival from real world of the 1990s to the TV show world of 1950s.
She’s All That (1999)
It’s a great teen movie about the relationship among young people which seem to be so different at the beginning of the story but become closer to each other later.
Varsity Blues (1999)
Walker’s film character Lance Harbor who was a star of the high school football team had to yield his seat to another quarterback Jonathan Moxon due to injury he suffered.
Joy Ride (2001)
This thriller picture tells about the dangerous trip of the leading character Lewis Thomas (Paul Walker) to the girl he loved alongside a psycho trucker who picked him and his brother up.
The Fast and the Furious (2001)
It was the first film which brought him a great success and made him breakthrough actor for real. It’s a cool action movie franchise based on “speed and danger” which people all over the world watch again and again.
Then he appeared in sequel 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) and in Fast & Furious (2009), in Fast Five (2011) and in Fast and Furious 6 (2013). He worked at Furious 7 while fate had decreed otherwise and he met his death in the age of 40.
Paul also acted in Timeline (2003) and Into the Blue (2005), two more action pictures.
He played a dramatic role in Noel (2004), in war drama Flags on Our Fathers (2006) and in adventure movie Eight Below (2006) as well as in box-office action films.
Surely, The Fast and the Furious franchise gave him the main role in his lifetime and made him a box-office actor.
